Today we said goodbye to grandma. Strangely for a funeral it was a nice day. Remembering everything positive she brought to the world.

Welsh roots
Grown into Gloucester soil
Her heart from The Mumbles
– she never let us forgot

From Welsh mountains high
She resided
Amongst Gloucester’s hills

Around the corner she lived
Gratefully in hindsight
she was so close

Her memory faded over the years
Although it didn’t stop her
from being my grandma

She was mam to our dad
A mother, a sister
A grandma

Now she’s resting
after a life of 94 years
she’s able to hold hands again with grandad

Her smile
I can see her smile now
& forever will

For all the memories, thank you
Sleep tight grandma.
